Tradition

Coach Whorton has just completed his 21st year as the head coach of the Lions women's basketball team. The team has compiled a record of 496-150 (76%) under his leadership.

  • 9 Bi-State East Conference Championships
  • 6 Region II Championships
  • NJCAA National Tournament Runner-Up (1993-94)
  • NJCAA National Tournament 3rd Place (2004-05)
  • NJCAA National Tournament 4th Place (2003-04)
  • NJCAA National Tournament Consolation Champions (1997-98, 2005-06)
  • NJCAA National Champions (1994-95)

The 1994-95 season was every coach's dream, when the Lions Women's basketball team were undefeated national champions, and Coach Whorton was named NJCAA Coach of the Year.
