Welcome to one of the most exciting Season of Entertainment lineups UA Fort Smith has ever presented. This year’s Season will surely be one to remember! If you are already a Season patron, I want to thank you for your long-standing support and trust. Without you, a Season of Entertainment like this one would simply not be possible. If you are not yet a patron, I invite your support. We need your help!

When the very first Season of Entertainment was being planned, we knew we wanted to bring national touring programs to our area and, at the same time, showcase our own student productions. This is how the Season of Entertainment was born.

Now, as we enter our 27th year, we are averaging six touring shows a year, and our University concerts have had to go to multiple nights in order to handle the number of people wanting to attend. For several years, our jazz programs have been standing-room-only. This year, in order to accommodate the number of people wanting to attend the concerts, we are moving the jazz shows downtown to the Arkansas Best Performing Arts Center.

An exciting addition to this year’s Season is the River Valley Community Band. Chuck Booker, director of the UA Fort Smith Symphonic Band, directs the Community Band, and we are pleased to welcome these talented community musicians to our season.

Rejoining us this year after a long hiatus is the UA Fort Smith Drama Department. They are back and better than ever! We are delighted to again have them as a part of the Season of Entertainment. Bob Stevenson has done an outstanding job of directing the students and has brought regional recognition to the UA Fort Smith Drama Department.

We hope you will make plans to attend all of our Season of Entertainment shows. Just follow the links on the left for details about each production. From start to finish, it is an exceptional lineup of shows, concerts, and entertainment, loaded with national and local talent. We hope, too, that you will plan to be a Season patron. Your support makes all the difference.
