  • AMS The American Mathematical Society is the leading organization for research mathematicians in the United States.
  • MAA "The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) is the largest professional society that focuses on mathematics accessible at the undergraduate level. Our members include university, college, and high school teachers; graduate and undergraduate students; pure and applied mathematicians; computer scientists; statisticians; and many others in academia, government, business, and industry.     • OK-AR MAA The Oklahoma-Arkansas Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
  • NCTM The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)is the premier organization for public school mathematics teachers and includes many college and university mathematicians as well. This organization is responsible for establishing standards for public school curriculum and teacher training programs.
    • K-12 Standards NCTM national standards for the K-12 mathematics curriculum.
    • NCTM Process Standards This contains the NCTM Process Standards for future mathematics educators.

  • Convert-me.com This site offers an excellent unit conversion tool for every unit you have probably heard of and many you haven't.
  • National Library of Virtual Manipulatives This site houses an excellent collection of JAVA applets that can be used for teaching K-12 mathematics (and beyond).

  • NCATE The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)is the organization responsible for establishing certification of teacher education programs.
  • ADE The Arkansas Department of Education is responsible for establishing standards for the K-12 mathematics curriculum and K-12 teacher licensure in the state.
