The purpose of the NUMAS is to recognize students who have exemplified outstanding student leadership skills within the context of Recognized Student Organizations. This awards program should be considered the showcase for outstanding student leadership.
NUMAS are organization specific. There are three (3) types of NUMA awards:
• NUMA Student Awards
• NUMA Organization Awards
• NUMA Advisor of the Year Award
The NUMAS will honor outstanding students, advisors, and organizations within each specific category. Students and organizations will be honored within these nine (9) categories: academic, arts, culture, honor society, greek life, political, religious, special interest, and university outreach.
The Chancellor’s Spirit Award recognizes well-rounded students by academic classification (freshman, sophomore, etc.) who have contributed significantly to the campus life of the University.

This honor will be bestowed on those students who demonstrate by their involvement in Student Activities, superior leadership, impact on campus life, and display of genuine love and respect for their fellow students, the University, faculty and staff. These students must also excel academically.
