Lion Community Outreach Day (LCOD) offers a unique opportunity for the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith to give back to the Fort Smith community. This is the Lion way of saying “Thank You” to everyone in our community, not just those in need.

Service projects include raking leaves, sorting clothes, washing windows, trimming trees, planting flowers, sorting canned goods and many more volunteer opportunities at local non-profit agencies. This one (1) day service project will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

If you would like to help plan LCOD, Director applications will be available starting November 10, 2008 in the Student Activities Office. LCOD Committee applications will be available staring in January 2009. The LCOD Committee and Director work with the Student Activities Event Coordinator to plan, promote, and execute both the LCOD Preview Lunch in March and LCOD in April.
