Experience life at UA Fort Smith.
We think participation in organizations, sports and other campus activities and organizations are so important, we even
give out awards for it. Why? Studies show that students who participate in extra-curricular activitieseven students who attend part time and have to juggle work and family commitmentsget better grades and are more likely to graduate on time.
There are nearly 60
organizations on campus, everything from Drama Club and
Applause Magazine to the College Democrats and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, as well as Campus Activities Board and numerous honor societies.
The
UA Fort Smith Lions compete and win in
baseball,
women’s volleyball, and
men’s and
women’s basketball. Golf and tennis for both men and women were added in 2005, and Cross Country in 2009. The campus
fitness center offers the latest exercise equipment as well as health and exercise classes.
