International Studies Committee

Purpose:
The International Committee develops strategic and policy advice in the context of the University's desire to secure its position as a leading international university in the twenty-first century. The committee provides advice on the coordination of the University's international activities and monitors performance against its internationalization targets.

Projects:
To review policy and provide strategic advice to the chancellor and the UA Fort Smith community on international matters:

  • The development and implementation of an Internationalization Plan
  • The development of collaboration with international partners
  • International developments and trends likely to impact the implementation of the University’s international programs and achievement of its international objectives
  • The development and implementation of a series of country/region specific plans for academic, community, and entrepreneurial engagement
