Work study provides students with an opportunity to acquire knowledge, gain work experience possibly within your major, and earn a paycheck through on-campus employment.
The
Federal Work Study program is need-based employment and funding is provided by the federal government. In order to be able to participate in the federal work study program, a student must have completed a
FAFSA for the school year in which they are applying for employment, and the student must be determined federal aid eligible.
The
University Work Study program is not based on financial need and wages are paid by the University. Completion of the FAFSA is not required to be in the University program.
