Pell Grants
Federal Pell Grants are available to students who demonstrate financial need. To apply for a Pell Grant, you must first fill out the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The maximum award for the 2007-08 aid year is $4310, which is divided between the Fall and Spring semesters. The Pell Grant is also prorated according to the number of hours in which a student is enrolled. So, eligible students can receive some Pell Grant money for being three-quarter, half, or even less-than-half time. For more information, check out the
Federal Student Aid website.
