BS - Accounting

The College of Business students who meet the prescribed degree requirements will be awarded a bachelor of science degree with a major in accounting. Students work with their accounting faculty advisor concerning CPA exam requirements and the selection of upper-division major courses.

NOTES
1: General Education Core Requirements, 2007-2008 catalog- Follow the requirements with these stipulations: Composition -must use sequence with ENGL 1223; Mathematics-MATH 2403 is required; Social Sciences-select one course: HIST 1123, or 1133 and select two additional courses from the list.
2: General Electives, seven hours: Select lower-level courses that will satisfy degree requirements for a baccalaureate program. Consult with faculty advisor.
3: Lower-level Business Core, 26 hours (includes ECON courses): Courses required prior to taking upper-level courses in the College of Business.
4:Consult with faculty advisor.
5:Demonstrated Business Computing Competency may be fulfilled by a satisfactory score on the challenge exam or successful completion of MGMT 2103.
6:COBI upper-level elective: two hours, select from COB 3532, 4032, or 4672.

The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and the equitable treatment of the application of credits for the admissions and degree requirements. Courses transferability is not guaranteed for courses listed in ACTS as "No Comparable Courses." Courses with a D grade will not transfer unless an appeal for exception is submitted in writing to the provost prior to the first day of class.
