When is Cub Camp?

Cub Camp will be held Monday, August 11 through Wednesday, August 13, 2008.

How much does Cub Camp cost?

The cost of Cub Camp 2008 is $100. Those submitting their registration forms and three(3) release forms by July 30 will be charged only $80. Those registering after July 30 will be charged $100.

The cost covers the entire three-day, two-night event, and will be billed directly to your fall tuition bill. The cost includes transportation to and from camp, meals at camp, lodging, and a Cub Camp Class of 2012 t-shirt.

Once an on-line registration form or hard-copy registration form is received by the Cub Camp staff, the $100 charge will be posted to the student's account. The $20 discount will be given only after all release forms have been received.

Is the charge refundable?

Yes. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing by Wednesday, July 30. Requests for refunds for campers registering after Wednesday, July 30 must be submitted in writing within two (2) business days from registering. Requests received after this time will not be accepted.

How do we get to Cub Camp?

All campers and counselors will take buses to camp. Individuals may not drive their own vehicles to and from camp.

Are parents allowed at Cub Camp?

Parents are more than welcome to attend the send-off of campers on Monday, August 11. However, parents may not attend Cub Camp.

Can I go home early?

Only in extreme cases may campers go home early. The determination for leaving early will be decided by the Cub Camp director staff, advisor, and administration present at camp.

I have special needs. To whom should I give this information?

List any special needs on your registration form. You may contact us via e-mail at cubcamp@uafortsmith.edu or contact the Cub Camp Advisor, Kerri Barnes at 479-788-7696.

What shouldn't I bring to camp?

Alcohol, illegal substances, weapons, fireworks and the like are not permitted at camp. If found, campers will be sent home immediately, and may be subject to additional disciplinary measures as described in the Student Handbook.

You may wish not to bring jewelry. Bring clothes that will keep you reasonably cool during the hot August summer. Comfort is key!

Campers may wish to bring money to Cub Camp as concessions may be purchased. All meals are covered in the cost.

Will there be University support present at Cub Camp?

Yes, aside from the Cub Camp advisor, a combination of faculty and administrators will be at Cub Camp to ensure the success of camp and the safety of campers.

Is smoking allowed at Camp?

Just as our University campus is tobacco free so is the Cub Camp experience! The use of all tobacco products is prohibited at Camp.
