Program Overview
Electronics and computer technology are two of the fastest-growing occupations
for the future. At UA Fort Smith students can learn both theory and practical skills in these areas. The emphasis in electronics covers installation, diagnosis, and repair of industrial controls, as well as diagnostic and communication equipment. Installation and repair of computers and peripheral equipment, including cabling and wiring, is also covered in this program.
Students may earn an associate of applied science degree, technical certification, or advanced certification. Single classes and technical certification courses may be applied toward the degree program or a student may enroll in a single class to
upgrade current skill levels. Course credit may also be received through testing or
demonstrated proficiency.
