Phi Beta Lambda
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is a professional organization dedicated to providing college business students who have an interest in business and leadership with a way to gain those useful skills through participation in chapter, state, and national programs and activities. PBL is a link between the classroom and the reality of the competitive business world.
Our Mission
The mission of PBL is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
Business and education are brought together when students preparing to enter the business world interact with those persons currently in the business world. Through this interaction, student members learn how to become more marketable, and gain contacts in the business world that will help them accomplish their career objectives.
PBL gives motivated individuals the tools they need in their quest for self improvement. The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith chapter participates in a wide variety of activities both on and off campus. Students have the opportunity to win accolades on the state and national levels. Members gain a competitive advantage in the business world by interacting with local companies and their executives.
The conferences that members will be able to attend include informative and motivational keynote addresses, career fairs, workshops, competitive events, theme dances, election of officers, and awards recognition. The workshops at the conferences provide business-related and personal educational opportunities, while competitions allow students to gain recognition for their business and leadership knowledge.
