Application Instructions

Students who seek to earn a degree within the College of Business must apply for and be admitted into the College of Business (COB). To be admitted, students must meet these eligibility criteria:

1. Have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.

2. Apply for admission upon completion of 30 credit hours toward a College of Business degree.

3. Have completed or be enrolled in at least two COB courses during the first 30 hours.

Students may apply for admission during the semester in which they will complete the above criteria by submitting (1) an application for admission form and (2) a copy of the student's current official transcript to the Office of the Dean of the College of Business.

Transfer students with 30 hours or more and who have met criteria No. 3 above should apply to the COB immediately after being admitted to UA Fort Smith and declaring a COB major.

Students previously admitted into the College of Business who have not taken a course at the University for a two-year period must apply for readmission to the College of Business and follow the policies of the University with regard to reapplication and updating of catalog year and degree plan.

Applications will be reviewed by the Admissions and Credits Committee of the College of Business. Students denied admission may submit a written appeal to the Office of the Dean for resolution.
