We depend on our students, staff, faculty, and visitors to help us maintain the beauty of our campus.
Our trees are very important to us - much like a museum collection (valuable and irreplaceable)!
For everyone's safety and enjoyment, we ask that you observe the following guidelines during your visit:
- Please don’t collect plants, flowers, or plant labels.
Leaves should not be collected from small trees since this can jeopardize the trees health and livelihood. Such trees are identified with an appropriate sign. Bark removal from any tree is prohibited. (For leaf collection approval, call 788-7170.)
- Thank you for not standing or walking in garden beds, or climbing on trees or shrubs.
- Only service and assistance dogs being used by disabled individuals are permitted. Other pets are not allowed.
- To protect our plant collections, active sports or games are not permitted in the gardens. These active games include frisbee, rollerblades, skating, football, baseball, kites, other toys, etc.
- Bicycles are not allowed in the gardens. Bicycles may be secured in the designated area of the public parking lot.
- Please refrain from playing in the fountains or other water features.
- Please respect birds, butterflies, squirrels, and all forms of wildlife within the garden.
- Smoking is not permitted in garden or arboretum areas.
- Thank you for properly disposing of litter in the appropriate trash receptacles.
