Arkansas Symphony Orchestra String Quartets with Pianist Rosilee Walker

Saturday, April 57:30 p.m. Coming to us from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in Little Rock, the members of the Sturgis and Rockefeller Quartets have studied in a variety of prestigious institutions. They will present a beautiful evening of romantic delights. Among the repertoire presented is Schumann's Quartet No. 1 Op. 41, a piece that masterfully reveals the contrasting sides of his personality; free and outgoing versus thoughtful and restrained. A special feature of the program is the perormance of the Dvorak Piano Quintet with guest pianist Rosilee Walker. Agleam with gorgeous lyrical passages and vibrant with Bohemian rhythms, Dvorak's Quintet is an audience favorite.
